Recently, Henan Shenghua Heavy Duty Crane Co., Ltd. independently developed and produced the MEC320t-80m shipbuilding gantry crane, which was successfully installed at the Zhuhai Shipbuilding Base in Guangdong Province. The equipment was fully debugged and all performance indicators met the standards, officially completing the shipyard site.
The successful landing of the 80m span shipbuilding gantry crane marks that the company’s customized R&D and on-site installation capabilities in the field of marine engineering ships and long-span multi-mode lifting equipment have again been verified in the market.
The shipbuilding gantry crane completed this time is a specialized lifting equipment customized by Shenghua Group for ship construction conditions.
The gantry crane has a span of 80 meters and adopts a configuration form of dual trolley cooperation and main hook combination. The upper trolley has a rated lifting capacity of 80 tons+80 tons, and the lower trolley is equipped with a 160 ton main lifting mechanism, integrating functions such as lifting, translation, hoisting, and segmented aerial turning.
The equipment can switch between multiple operation modes, such as single trolley independent operation, double trolley synchronous lifting, and main hook heavy load lifting, to meet the lifting needs of different tonnages and working conditions, such as segmented transportation of ship bodies, closure of large components, and aerial flipping of giant modules.

The Zhuhai project is located in a coastal area, facing multiple constraints during construction such as strong sea winds, heavy salt spray, limited site, and high precision requirements for high-altitude assembly.
During the project implementation, the company established a specialized installation team to orderly complete the entire process of supporting leg alignment, main beam assembly, walking mechanism debugging, electrical system calibration, etc. in accordance with relevant national construction specifications and equipment installation processes. And the type test has been completed, with strict control over installation accuracy and adherence to safety standards throughout the entire process. The entire machine has been installed and landed according to the nodes.
